Based in Destin, Florida, Grey Aviation Advisory and Solutions, Inc. provides a range of aviation-related services for professionals and organizations nationally and throughout the globe. In operation for more than a decade, Grey Aviation Advisors and Solutions, Inc. provides comprehensive support to a range of entities including Fortune 500 companies and the US Department of Defense.
In celebration of the achievements in aviation, the nation recently celebrated National Aviation Day, where organizations across the states and overseas participated in various events that acknowledged the contributions of aviators and other workers in the field.
The creation of National Aviation Day goes back to 1939. At Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, the 2017 commemoration included the presence of American Airlines providing airport and airplane tours to members of Airline Geeks, a website dedicated to all things related to aviation. The airline gave tours not only in the US, but throughout the world as well.

Drones in Humanitarian Use
Serving the air-traffic community for more than a decade, Grey Aviation Advisors and Solutions, Inc., operates out of Destin, Florida. With a staff of highly trained military instructors and special operations pilots, Grey Aviation Advisors and Solutions, Inc., provides custom-tailored lesson plans and flight simulations.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in partnership with the government of Malawi announced the testing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), or drones, as tools to assist in humanitarian efforts. On June 28, 2017, UNICEF deployed a humanitarian UAV in the area of Kasungu Aerodrome.
With the goal of providing controlled aerial services to universities and others, UNICEF hopes to gather logistical information to help enhance the use of UAVs with connectivity, transportation, and imagery of central Malawi. On the heels of a pilot project in March of 2016 that tested the viability of transporting dried blood samples via drones, testing the UAV humanitarian program in Kasungu Aerodrome will extend until June of 2018. Since Malawi is challenged with limited terrain access to many rural areas, UAVs offer a much cheaper and efficient travel solution.
